Apartment 1B Revival and new Version!


Hello there!

A lot has happened over the last year with the development team here, and unfortunately it seems the project was put on hold. I can’t apologize enough for that but I’m here with some good news. The game is back!

I won’t go into too much details on why, but I will be the sole creator of Apartment 1B going forward. For the sake of convenience I will continue to work under the same moniker of Pinnacle Games, but its less of a team and more of a solo gig. Either way, the project is back in production and things are moving forward!

I have taken the time to completely re-make the game from scratch to create a more fluid working environment. As I’m sure you were aware there were several unhandled bugs and issues with the game due to a lack of testing or similar so it caused a bit of grief. I spend the last couple months changing the scripts, removing and adding images, and fixing some pain points that made the game hard to work on for a single person. This should allow me to have an easier time creating more content and a better story.

Enough about the past. We’re moving forward now! Today I release the newest version of Apartment 1B. Version 0.4 is a slimmed down and hopefully bug-free version of the game you already enjoy, with the caveat of more intuitive game play and better mechanics.

If you decide to play my game, you will absolutely need to make a new save. There were several core issues that will cause errors if you attempt to use a previous save. Hopefully it’s the only time you’ll have to do it. I’ll go ahead and post the change log below here so you can see what I’ve done.

Refactors: -Fixed dozens of exploration areas -Fixed stat tracking -Updated all room images and conditions -Converted all default data to classes for better management -Fixed main and side-event handling -Updated event handling reload and stability -Updated single-event loading for more reliability -Made standard code more universal for scaling. -Updated replay interface and added missing ones -Remove end-user console logging -Create pre-update scripts to check several error prone areas.
